Rapunxel...Wool Ambassador Extraordinaire

I can't say how much it means to me to get pictures and/or updates on the rabbits that go to their new homes.

Jerrilyn is so awesome. She sends me the best pictures of Rapunxel enjoying life.

Rapunxel is quite the public figure, teaching about her breed's purpose at the San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts' Eco-Fair.

She is a great ambassador for her breed...and I'm sure an attraction all to herself! Rapunxel's duties have taken her to events such as Christmas at Old Fort Concho and a fiber arts demo at the Chicken Farm Art Center.

Rapunxel lives a wonderful life as a wool producing house rabbit with Jerrilyn.

Rapunxel ,Rapunxel...let down your long hair

Rapunxel is doing just that....letting her hair wool down around PetSmart...around the house...around the yard!

Here's some new pictures from our favorite chocolate fiber girl, Rapunxel!  Her bunny mom was kind enough to send some new pics so we could see how she is doing!  I just love how silky her wool looks in the sun.  She's a beautiful bunny...and living the good life in her mama's music room! Rapunxel has the run of the house most of the day now.  She has learned her litterbox manners...much to her mom's relief, I'm sure.

When Rapunxel is not lounging around the house, she is a busy girl. She has visited the library for a children's demo and she even got to go to PetSmart! Rapunxel is an amazing bunny ambassador and draws adoring fans where ever she goes.  I am so happy Rapunxel's mom gets to spread the Angora love.  These rabbits are so wonderful.  I always tell people...Don't hold one.  You'll never want to let it go!

My favorite pic is the one I call "The Three Musketeers" where Rapunxel, Rapunxel's best buddy Jinx and kitty are all hanging out on the lawn...or maybe it should be called "The Three Amigos"...either way, it's pretty cute.

Of course, I always have to add a disclaimer that Angora rabbits require a lot of extra maintenance.  They are not for everyone.  Rapunxel's mom is a very experienced bunny mom and she is able to do a lot with her bunny because she knows bunny body language.  I am so happy she shares Rapunxel's life with me...so I can share with you :)

Bunny Hide and Seek

Now where is that Charlee?
Charlee has been settled in his new home for a couple of weeks now. He seems to be quite the happy bun. One of his daily play companions is my little niece, Jasmin. She is really enamored with this new fluffy friend.

Found you!

Charlee has outdoor playtime each morning on my parent's screened in front porch. He hops around the porch until the day becomes too hot for Angoras.

Where'd he go?
The bunny enjoys binky-ing around the porch and Jasmin enjoys a supervised session of hide and seek with Charlee.

Photos from Rapunxel's Mom

Rapunxel meets her neighbor...who is not
sure what she is. But don't worry...Rapunxel is
accustomed to dogs and is well supervised.
I was absolutely tickled to get these pics from Rapunxel's Mom, Jerrilyn. It is obvious that our pretty little chocolate girl is super lucky. She's got a dazzling personality and makes friends everywhere she goes...plus, she has the most awesome name ever!

Rapunxel relaxing in her favorite garden spot.
Rapunxel's mom tells me was a big hit at the local vendor market and has a best friend pug to keep her company. I was so happy to see her frolicking in the garden of her new home and learn that pretty girl lives in the music room of her artist mom...such a perfect home for a bunny.

Running the Bunny 500 in the spiral herb garden...
Go, Rapunxel, Go!
Anyhow, thank you so much for sending pictures, Jerrilyn. I love seeing happy rabbits. I knew she'd be a perfect fit for you.

Jerrilyn wanted me to let everyone know that Angora bunnies must be supervised and brushed down (or blown out with a pet blower) when playing outdoors. Their cute little fluffy bodies act as dust mops...picking up all kinds of debris. She's absolutely right...but they're sooo cute hopping around the yard, that it's totally worth the extra work.

Bo Jackson ...the Mini Rex

Bo and A
Well, time had come to say goodbye to Bo, A's mini rex.  I have grown to like that little bunny.  However, I am focusing on my EA's and, unfortunately, there is only so much room.
When I had been a pet foster mom (years ago), it was always hard to let them go.  But I am happy that he gets a chance to be someone's love bunny.

It had been four weeks since he had been neutered so the ad went out Friday.  He was immediately swiped up by one smart, young lady who drove all the way from Burnett.  He will make a wonderful pet.  I felt really good about sending him to his forever home.  Bo's new bunny mama asked alot of questions and that is usually a good sign. He will live in the lap of luxury as a bedroom bunny.  Good luck to ya, Bo! We'll miss ya :)
